snowpocalypse 2011.

official lifetime snowday count: 3.5
I can officially graduate from concordia now.
all I wanted was a snow day and they generously gave me two and a half.

the snow started falling from the sky on tuesday
and it did not stop until late wednesday afternoon.

we aren't probably allowed to do this..

but to better experience the weather

we like to take the screen off of our window on the fourth floor..

and hang our feet out:]

and watch and listen for thunder snow.

yes it is real. and awesome.

so with the screen off we were able to throw

snowballs we made from the snow on the ledge.

however we quickly ran out of window ledge snow..

so we braved the blizzard and filled up this tub and brought it back up.
but don't think we are mean. I only hit one guy. one time.

the next day was spent exploring all that had fallen from the sky...

which was a lot!

we found some pretty good jumping piles in front of the pillars.

that really is mad air! you just can't tell.

the end result included frozen and soaking clothing.

but it was well worth it.

afterwards we enjoyed hot chocolate and movies:]

today is the first time in a long that I have seen the sun.

It is bright and beautiful and I have missed it so much.

and yesterday I got a valentine's day package from grandma.

it doesn't get much better than that.

I finally checked my voicemail. THIRTY new messages. (new personal record.)
Chicago is officially too freezing for me..tomorrow's high is like seven.
I have been ready for summer and heat since probably the 7th of January.
This year will be the first year of my life (that I can remember)
that I will not be home for my birthday..
THIS SUNDAY I APPLY FOR CAMPUS HOUSING FOR THE LAST TIME!!!
There is no part of my being that can cheer for the bears.
so this sunday, go packers. (sorta)
It's been over two years, but this semester
I am using a notebook that has notes from NAU in it.
and my NAU sweater is still the most comfy.
(best thing that came out of that year.)
Next semester is the last semester I will have to buy textbooks!
Lately I miss Thatcher a surprising amount.
I have been thinking a lot about happy memories. ..
And I have decided to make some more:]
