old photographs.

Okay, so maybe they are not that old. at all.
I went through and picked one picture from each album on my computer.
they are in no order and most of them have never been posted anywhere online.
there is no rhyme or reason just ones that I happened to pick.
a little less then two years in pictures.
funny how some things change and some never will.

cacti+27th.

:] the weekend before spring break..
I got eight cacti in the mail!
one I gave to Dingman for his birthday.
three went to Janelle to further her plant collection
and I currently have four.

(here they sit on my window looking very Arizona-like.)
yesterday was the 27th!
it started like any other saturday, with work.
I then came back to my room to help my roommate get ready for spring formal.
and can confidently say I can now curl someone's hair with a straightener, it was pretty legit.
and then it was time to take some time and celebrate the greatness that is the 27th.
so we headed downtown to see the Blue Man Group!
we picked up our tickets and then walked down the street to have a very chicago-style dinner.
which was complete with Mrs. Pacman.

(old-school pacmann game.)
And I though my super ninetendo was old school:]
Blue Man Group was not like anything I have ever seen.
It was funny and weird but mostly just really awesome!

(first picture is just outside the theatre, crazy art-ish stuff.)
(second, I was a little scared to stand next to him.)

(ride back)
the 27th was, as usual, a good day.

snow&sun.

this day we should have had a snow day.
it snowed for an entire day.

then a few days later. ..there was SUN!
Chicago, with its weather, is something I am still getting used to.
(I think I am still getting used to weather in general.)

but I am not complaining:]
on valentine's day, there was plenty of sunshine to go around.

Valentine's day began with (sunshine and) a lovely walk
through the classy streets of River Forest to
the equally as classy streets of downtown Oak Park.
because Sundays consist of many things
(most importantly floor hockey games and Vball practice)
it was decided that an early morning outing was the way to go
complete with an adorable bagel shop for breakfast
and the CUTEST movie theatre in the world...

The Lake! (where the same guy that a year ago coined the term, "the supermodel and her hairy bodyguard!"
was in the exact same spot to greet us with a very similar "supermodel" comment!)
I might be bias but it's the cutest movie theatre I have ever been to.
We saw Valentine's Day, cliche I know,
(but ASHTON KUTCHER was in it;] and just as adorable as ever.)
it was a lovely love day.

and did I mention there was sunshine?!
:]
Concordia has been the best move for me thus far.
it's far away, it's different, it's cold but it is also what I wanted.
and I am learning, that's important too.

chicago..

is busy but enjoyable. I feel like a freshman all over again. it's humbling.
it is small and I like it that way. I am so very blessed for this opportunity.
I don't have many pictures so here is the very brief overview if you're interested.
but for the record. this WILL be my last school...I think;]

Concordia! my mom got me that hat:]

My room! although since this photo was taken the walls have been COVERED in photos.

[jf..again.] we walked to walgreens and dinner.
and had a mini AZ kid snowball fight.
