love.

"Love is here, love is now."
"Love is pouring from His hands."
"Love is near."

"You're looking into my heart."
"Though I'm weak and poor, all I have is Yours."
"..and it's all about You."
Remember this Easter, it really is all about Him.

THINGS.

THINGS THAT ARE EASIER(BETTER):
Being a friend is easier than being a girl.
Wanting to not care is easier than actually not caring.
Eating noodles is easier than eating celery and carrots.
Going shopping for an Easter dress is easier than doing homework.
Knowing that there are 33 more days is easier than knowing there are 53 more classes.
Looking forward to Easter and Mexico is easier than looking forward to May.
Ignoring someone is easier when you don't run into them in the hallway.
Being busy is easier than thinking.
Sleeping is easier than anything.

THINGS (PROBLEMS) THAT YOU CAN IGNORE:
highschool girls.
boys.
homework.
Facebook.
texts.
calls.
eight page emails.
the only problem is even when you ignore them, they don't go away.
they are still there, waiting for the day when you can no longer ignore them.

It's possible to ignore things that you don't like as well as things that you love. It is possible to walk away and pretend like they're not even there. right?

"when I need a friend, she's the guy I call."

sometimes&othertimes.

Sometimes my friend calls me and begs me to go on a service trip to Mexico in two weeks, and I say yes. Other times I eat chocolate doughnuts instead of working out. Sometimes I do a lot of working and going to school all day. Other times I sit in my dorm room in an oversized sweater and do a lot of nothing.

Sometimes I write enjoyable blogs. Other times I don't.

one for one.

TOMS SHOES.
"Tomorrow's shoes, because the company’s whole focus is on making a better tomorrow."
Even though there is no "Tom," there is a Blake and his idea was a pretty incredible one.
Two years ago Blake Mycoskie created and launched a for-profit company called TOMS with the idea of "one for one" for every pair of shoes you buy TOMS gives a pair to a child in need. For these children something as simple as a pair of shoes can mean the chance to attend school, and ultimately alter their lifestyle completely. Thus far TOMS has provided over 130,000 shoeless children in rural areas of Argentina, South Africa, and even the United States with the only pair of shoes they have ever had. Can you imagine? These truly are shoes that change lives.
TOMS has been something for me that since the moment I heard about, I loved. But it was not until recently that I actually did my research and realized what complete respect, admiration, and love I have for this company and it's cause. Everything about it inspires me and I can only pry that one day I might be half as good as Blake Mycoskie.
"After starting TOMS and traveling around the world and seeing the environments that people are living in, I realized that you don't need much to be happy. Some of the happiest people I've ever met live out in the jungle." -Blake Mycoskie
if only everything we did in our lives was as good as this....

B and I have already decided, we will be going on a shoe drop.
some summer soon.

...

"An hour ago I felt so low I almost drown.."
"life is not over when we don’t accomplish our original goal. it is time to think again, to create new hopes for the future. to think 2-3 moves ahead but in another area of our lives, explore what life is trying to teach us or reshape our vision for the future around what passions we are excited about currently. it is an unpredictable world, and maybe that accounts for not only the excitement of these days but the turmoil as well. but don’t lose hope, begin to place the pieces to this game called life in strategic places, and when it doesn’t work out right away look for another opening. maybe.

"maybe in this season of your life you may feel left behind, ostracized, criticized, a 'lesser known';but maybe, just maybe there is a reason for it. you can't see it yet, but you will. you know what sticks, stones, and broken bones are and what a broken heart feels like, but realize that maybe it happened to you now because you know exactly what a broken heart feels like and someday you can help mend someone else's."-SC.
It's all in the timing. Later down the road this will be better, easier and more simple. You'll look back and realize it was all for the best and it will all make sense. When the time is right, the pieces will fit together and everything will fall into place. So stop forcing, stop trying so hard to make it work. Because all you have to do is keep that faith secure in your heart the rest will be as it was always meant to be.
yet, I still wish I were a snail.
legitly, I am done with complicated. And snails are just so simple.
